Venture partners with local communities to bring food security, education, discipleship, and the gospel to the least reached and most vulnerable people in the world.
We engage religious leaders, local governments, community members, and partner non-profits to meet the most pressing needs in remote, conflict-ridden, and desperate regions.
Venture works within the most remote and hardest-struck refugee regions in Southeast Asia to provide nutritious food for the people living in these camps. Through a partnership with Feed My Starving Children, we provide hundreds of thousands of meals every year to refugee camps in Southeast Asia. Learn more about these programs.
The Epic West Bike Ride
This ride will raise money to fund our refugee feeding programs in Southeast Asia, which is home to the world’s longest-running civil war. This war has displaced over 4 million people from their homes, hundreds of thousands of whom still live in Internally Displaced Person (IDP) or refugee camps in the region.
This bike ride is over 500 miles from Minneapolis to Chicago. Participants on the Epic West tour will start at the iconic Stone Arch Bridge in one of America’s most beautiful cities, wind through the scenic valleys and wooded bluffs of Minnesota and Wisconsin, and end with a celebratory 16-mile ride down the Lakefront Bike Path in the bustling city of Chicago.
After the ride, cyclists will volunteer at our partner organization, Feed My Starving Children, to pack, sort, and pray for the very meals you’ve provided for our friends in Southeast Asia. And while they’ll travel through 3 states, bike over 500 miles, and peddle up more than 7,000 feet, this ride isn’t just about an epic adventure. They'll raise money along the way by connecting with churches and communities, telling them about the work Venture is going in Southeast Asia.
With a strong focus on biblical social justice and discipleship, the team will study, learn, reflect, and wrestle together on some of life’s most important and pressing questions: Who am I? Who is God? How might I respond to suffering and injustice in the world?
As cyclists meet their fundraising goal prior to departing, they’ll inspire your community to actively engage with them in the redemptive and beautiful story of justice and hope that God is writing right here, and right now, through Venture Mission in South Asia.
